The Foundation for Petaluma Public Waldorf (formerly the Live Oak Charter School Foundation) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to support the vibrant programs, dedicated educators, and whole-child learning that defines Valley Vista Public Waldorf School.
Through the collective generosity of our community, we help bridge the gap between public funding and the true cost of offering a rich, developmentally aligned public Waldorf education.
Due to reductions in state funding, Valley Vista Public Waldorf must raise over 12% of its annual operating budget through local fundraising efforts. The suggested monthly pledge is $110 per child, for 12 months, or $1300 annually.
We understand that every family's circumstances are different, and we encourage each household to give at a level that feels right for them. Every contribution matters. Your support not only helps fund the programming that makes our school special, but also demonstrates to outside funders—like grant foundations—that our community is deeply invested. Higher participation rates make us more competitive in securing additional funding.
Our goal is 100% participation.
Every gift, no matter the size, strengthens our community, and helps carry the work of this education forward, together.
